Manage Recommendation Requests Using My Letter Writer Account
If you have an existing Interfolio Letter Writer account, or create or activate a new one, we can help you manage your letter requests and saved recommendations in one place.
This article explains how to use the various management features available to you with Letter Writer.
To get started, click "View Requests" on your Interfolio account dashboard
You will be taken to a list of recommendation requests as shown below:
For a pending letter request made by an individual:
Click "View Details" to see more information about the request
Note that you can read the message from the person who requested the letter to the right of the page.
Click "View Full Message" to open a window with the complete text of the message.
Click "Accept" or "Decline" to act on the message request
For a pending request made by a committee or institution:
Click "Accept" or "Decline" to act on the request
You will be taken to a page where you can download any supporting documentation that may be included in the request, and where you can upload your recommendation
Click "View Request History" in the upper right corner to see a record of requests you have completed through Interfolio
From the Recommendation Request History page, you can view details such as the date you sent your letter, download a copy of the recommendation letter, and archive your completed requests.
For letters requested by an individual:
When viewing the details of a letter requested by an individual, you can download a copy of your submitted file, and replace a letter with an updated version.
Click "View Details" to view the completed request
Note the document ID number, due date, and date received appears to the right of the list.
Click "Download PDF " or "Download Original" to download a copy of the letter you submitted
Click "Replace File" to replace a letter with an updated version
For letters requested by a committee or institution:
When viewing the completed request, you will see the date you submitted the letter, and can download a copy of the letter you submitted
Click "Download" to the right of the page to download a PDF copy of the letter you submitted
To archive a letter, click "Archive" to the right of the list
Click "Unarchive" to add a letter back to the Recommendation Request History page
Click "Manage Digital Signature" in the upper right corner of the page to make changes to the digital signature saved with your account
