Deactivate a Faculty Classification

The content in this knowledge base is based upon the standard FACULTY180 environment. Your institution may have made changes to customize the FACULTY180 environment to meet your institution's needs; therefore, the screens in your FACULTY180 environment may differ slightly from the knowledge base. To deactivate a faculty classification, do the following:

  1. On the Admin menu, click Setup > Customize > Faculty Classifications.
  2. The Faculty Classifications screen displays.
  3. Click the Unit associated the faculty classification to be inactivated. The Manage Faculty Classifications screen displays.
  4. Click the active icon that corresponds with the faculty classification to be deactivated.

The faculty classification is now deactivated.

Note: If the option Show as a filter in reports was selected for the faculty classification, deactivating does not remove the faculty classification filter from the faculty selection tool or the faculty classification report. To remove the classification from these areas, edit the faculty classification and unselect the option to Show as a filter in reports.

Note: Although the faculty classification is inactive, keep in mind that the title cannot be used for another faculty classification.
