Evaluations: Additional Lock Methods for Evaluation Documents

Additional lock methods are now available to administrators for locking evaluation documents (vitas/classification forms). The available lock methods for evaluation documents are:

  • Evaluator Accesses Document: the vita/classification form will be locked once the evaluator accesses the document
  • Date & Time: a specific date and time can be selected for locking the vita/classification form
  • Evaluator Saves Evaluation (if not already locked): the vita/classification form will be locked when the evaluator saves the evaluation
  • Evaluator Submits Evaluation (if not already locked): the vita/classification form will be locked when the evaluator submits the evaluation

To specify a lock method for an evaluation document, do the following:

  1. On the Admin menu, click Administration
  2. In the Evaluations section, click Evaluations
  3. Add a new evaluation or select an existing evaluation. 
  4. In the Evaluation Documents section, add a new evaluation document or edit an existing evaluation document. 
  5. Specify the lock method. 

Journal Lists are Now Called Scholarly Outlet Lists

Journal Lists are now called Scholarly Outlet Lists in FACULTY180. Journal Metrics are now called Scholarly Outlet Metrics.

Evaluations: Hide Evaluation Author Names in Evaluation Results

Administrators now have the option of hiding the names of evaluation authors in evaluation results. 

  • Allow (default): Faculty members can see the evaluation author names when viewing evaluation results.
  • Restrict: “Name Withheld” displays in place of the evaluation author names when faculty members are viewing evaluation results. 

To specify this option, do the following:

  1. On the Admin menu, click Administration.
  2. In the Evaluations section, click Evaluations.
  3. Add a new evaluation or select an existing evaluation.
  4. In the Access to Evaluation Results section, specify if faculty can view author names. 

Thomson Reuters Web of Science API Changes 

Due to new functionality being introduced in the Thomson Reuters Web of Science API, DATA180 will be making adjustments in FACULTY180. There will be no changes in the FACULTY180 interface.

Profile Forms, Activity Input Forms, Vitas: View List of Shown Sections

Administrators can now easily view a list of the sections that are configured to display on Profile Forms, Activity Input Forms, and Vitas.

  1. On the Admin menu, click Setup
  2. In the Configuration section, click Profile FormActivity Input Form, or Vitas
  3. Click the unit designation for the desired form. The Form Configuration screen displays. The Shown Sections column indicates the number of sections currently configured to display in each form. 
  4. Click a hyperlink in the Shown Sections column. A pop-up opens, showing a list of the sections currently configured to display in the form.
