Overview of Case Types

When creating a new case or a new template, it must be marked as one of seven case types; Appointment, Promotion, Reappointment, Review, Sabbatical, Tenure, or Other. A case type can also, retroactively, be applied to an existing case via the Edit Case or Edit Template page, but it is not required to apply a case type to existing cases. 

 

Case types are selected when creating or editing a case or template. After selecting the candidate, unit, and template for the case, the page title Case Information will display.

  1. Select a case Type from the dropdown menu.
  2. Click Save & Continue when finished.
