Create a Case From Scratch
This article explains how to access the feature to create a case in Interfolio Review Promotion & Tenure from a blank case. Because the process of creating a case from scratch and creating a case from a template are similar, this is explained in more depth in this article on creating a case based on a template. Cases can be created for any unit in the hierarchy of an organization.
1. Select “Create Case” in the upper right hand corner of the Case List screen
2. Select the candidate
Start typing the candidate's name in the box labeled Search for a Candidate. If the candidate exists in the system, the name will appear. Select the candidate, or click Create User to create a new user.
If the candidate's name doesn't show up you will have to click Create User to add the candidate to our system.

Click "Add User" and complete the new user form
3. Indicate if the candidate will be involved in the evaluation

Please note: This setting cannot be changed once it is selected here. If at any point you want the candidate to be involved in the evaluation, adding documents, etc, you MUST choose YES at this step!
4. Select a unit for the case and click to Confirm
Cases can be created for any unit in the hierarchy of an organization (university, college, school, department, etc.)
5. Select "Blank Case"
6. Follow the instructions for creating a case based on a template
