Format Rich Text in Activity Records
This article explains how to use rich text to select special characters in the Title and Description fields of Scholarly Contributions and Creative Productions (SCCP) activity records. These styling options include italics, underlining, bolding, superscript, and subscript, as well as many special characters used in non-English languages, computer science, statistics, and more. Complete titles with rich text styling will appear in:
- In-product records of an activity, such as in your account’s Activities section
- Vitas generated through the new vita builder
- Scholarly Activities and Scholarly Citations reports that include Title or Description fields for the activity
Please note that the legacy vita generation feature will not support these new special characters.
Format Rich Text in Activity Records
1. Navigate to Activity Input form
- Click Activities in the navigation sidebar of FAR
- Under Scholarly Contributions & Creative Productions, click to Add an activity
- Select activity type from the dropdown Manual Input
