What Does Interfolio do with my Feature Request?

We strongly value your input on our roadmap and are always listening as to how we can further advance our product. Our road mapping framework involves committing our product development resources to specific improvements in three-month program increments while also retaining a clear longer-term vision for where we want to take the platform. This allows our collective Interfolio teams to provide more accurate forecasting for our clients, as well as give you a clearer sense, at any given time, of the relative importance of each roadmap item and its time criticality.

You are always welcome to connect with your Interfolio team member and share any ideas you have so that they can be considered. Our product team reviews these ideas on a regular basis and will ask for feedback where needed.

Roadmap Framework

Closed-Released > Committed > Forecasted > Evaluating > Envisioned

As shown above, we will loosely assign a status to each idea for advancement based on when we foresee work being done. However, these relative priorities are very much subject to change throughout the year as we make progress and clarify the scope of work. Below are definitions of every status that can be assigned to an idea.

Status Description

Internal Review

Our team will do an initial review of the idea before it moves to our Product team.

New

This idea is ready for review by our Product team.

Closed-Released

The idea has been addressed as part of a new feature!

Committed

We have committed engineering resources for this idea to be worked on within the next three months.

Forecasted

We plan to commit resources to this idea within the next six months.

Evaluating

This idea is currently in our Research and Development process, which means our team is actively researching the problem, testing a solution, and determining whether or not we will pursue it. Based on this timeline, we do not predict we will be committing engineering resources toward this idea within the next nine months.

Envisioned

This idea has been reviewed by the team and has demonstrated value. However, it does not align with our near-term priorities, and we need additional Research and Development to evaluate it. This means it would not be scheduled for engineering work within the next one-to-two-year timeframe.

Logged for Reference

This idea is valuable but is not considered a priority relative to other product ideas. However, as the product team continues to review submitted ideas we may revisit this idea as priorities and needs change. This idea is logged and has no estimate of when it will be worked on.

Not Being Considered

An idea that the team discussed but has decided not to pursue.
