Overview of Interfolio Testing Environments
Overview
Sandbox and Beta are operated as separate environments from Production. They have their own resource allocation and operate on siloed stacks. Data cannot be transferred to or from these environments – e.g. Interfolio does not clone databases into Beta or pull data from Sandbox into a Production tenant.
Sandbox has the Faculty Search and Review, Promotion & Tenure product components and SSO capability. It is generally used for software integrations development and testing.
Beta has all product components available but does not offer SSO capability. It is generally used for integrations development and testing when a client has a specific need for a development or testing environment separate from Production that runs the FAR product module.

* A user's core profile contains their name, address, phone number, and email address. Changes to user profiles in a development tenant will be reflected in that user's profile in any other tenant to which they're related (e.g., production or another institution) and vice versa.
