Interfolio Roadmap Process

About Interfolio's Roadmap Process

Our roadmapping framework involves committing our product development resources to specific improvements in three-month program increments (PIs) while also retaining a clear longer-term vision for where we want to take the platform. This allows our collective Interfolio teams to provide more accurate forecasting for our clients, as well as give you a clearer sense, at any given time, of the relative importance of each roadmap item and its time criticality.

Roadmap Framework

To align with industry standards and improve clarity, we now use the following roadmap categories:

Now (Previously: Completed) Features and improvements that are fully available today. These items have been delivered and are accessible to all users (100% certainty of availability).
Next (Previously: Committed) Functionality currently in development, prioritized for the current PI (three-month increment). These items are actively being worked on by our Product and Engineering teams, with a high likelihood (80–100%) of release in the near term.
Exploring (Previously: Forecasted/Evaluating) Early-stage ideas and initiatives we are actively researching for future development. These items are not yet committed, and their relative priorities may change as we clarify scope and progress through the year (30–40% likelihood of progressing to development).

FAQ

What does “Next” mean?

“Next” means we will prioritize that improvement in our allocation of Product and Engineering staff hours during this PI. In other words, we promise to spend the majority of our time on the “Next” items during this three-month period. Our goal is to always deliver valuable, accessible functionality, with minimal bugs or known issues, as promptly as we can manage. However, Interfolio reserves the right to adjust projected release dates in order to meet needs around feature quality, time criticality, technical performance, or other considerations.

Your Feedback Matters

We strongly value your input on the products and roadmap. We continue to add product ideas to our Product Support Portal (launched in 2025), where you can review, comment and vote on the most valuable ideas submitted. We will use your feedback as we create our roadmap to deliver our high-level vision and desired outcomes over one to two years (beyond the current three-month committed work).
