Delete Faculty Profiles

Administrators can delete faculty profiles of faculty that are longer at the institution and who have been marked as deactivated. When viewing a deactivated profile, Administrators have the option to Delete Profile from the Actions menu dropdown. Users can also filter the faculty list to display only deactivated faculty to make it easier to find faculty for deletion. kmlm 

 

Deleting a faculty profile will remove the user and any events or appointment data.

Delete Faculty Profiles

  1. Click Faculty on the navigation menu.
    Faculties selected under Lifecycle Management

    Only deactivated faculty members can be deleted. Faculty must be deactivated for the delete option to appear.

     
  2. Click the desired Faculty Member name.

    1. Click Filter to open the filter drawer.

    2. Scroll down to the Status of Faculty section and select the Deactivated checkbox and unselect the Active checkbox.

    3. Click the “X” in the upper right-hand corner of the drawer to close out.

    4. Click the desired Faculty Member name.

     
     
  3. Select Deactivate Profile under the Actions dropdown.

  4. Click Deactivate Profile to confirm decision.

    Deleting a faculty profile will remove the user and any of their events or appointment data.

     
 
 

FAQs

What happens when a faculty member leaves the institution and they are no longer desired to be shown on the faculty roster?

The best option is to manually cancel future events. The faculty member will always show up in the faculty roster, but will not have any upcoming events. It is recommended to insert a new event to note termination/terminal year so the record could be sorted out if necessary.

 
 

What is a best practice when a faculty member leaves the institution?

Add an exception event, and cancel all of the faculty member's remaining events.
