Comment on an Application
Depending on the institution's or department's settings in Faculty Search (FS), Evaluators can comment on applications from the Applicant Profile page or the Document Reader while reviewing applications in a browser window. Comments are not the same as annotations. Depending on the settings in the program, comments may be visible to other reviewers, whereas annotations are personal notes, only visible to the writer.

Applicant Page
1. Navigate to the desired applicant under Positions
Navigation: Positions > desired position > checkboxes
- Click Positions under Faculty Search on the navigation bar.
- Click the hyperlinked Name of the desired position.
- Click the hyperlinked Name of the desired applicant.
2. Comment on the application
Depending on how the institution has set up the program, Evaluators may only be able to read their own comments.
Scroll down to the Comments section and click Add Comment.
Document Reader
This allows Evaluators to load multiple applications into their browser and scroll through leaving comments without leaving their browser window.
1. Navigate to the desired applicant under Positions
Navigation: Positions > desired position > checkboxes
- Click Positions under Faculty Search on the navigation bar.
- Click the hyperlinked Name of the desired position.
- Select the checkboxes adjacent to the names of the desired applicants to tag.
2. Comment on the application
- Click Read to load selected applications into the document viewer.
All selected applications will be loaded into the viewer for review one at a time
- Click the Comments button on the reader.
- Enter Comment.
- Click Save when finished.
