Release Notes: April 22, 2026

This week’s release includes updates across Platform, Faculty Search (FS), Review, Promotion & Tenure (RPT), and Faculty Activity Reporting (FAR). On Platform, footer links and landing pages on the Interfolio login and Dossier signup pages were updated. In FS, we resolved an issue on the Position Show page that caused the “No Rating” filter to return incorrect results. In RPT, we introduced a retry mechanism to ensure Candidate Hard Deadlines are reliably enforced, fixed data synchronization issues in the Case Information report, and improved committee updates so archived packets are no longer unintentionally modified. In FAR, we fixed an issue where the ordering of scholarly subtypes on Vita Builder templates was not reflected on generated vitas, ensuring subtype order now displays correctly.

Platform

  • Enhancement: Updated footer links on the Interfolio login and Dossier signup pages to improve support access and update legal links.
  • Enhancement: We updated our landing and product pages to make regional sign-in options clearer. Users should select the appropriate region when signing in—US-based institutions (and others hosted in the US) should continue to use the US sign-in option. For institutions that are hosted in other supported regions (Canada, Europe, Asia Pacific), users can access their accounts through the corresponding regional sign-in links. Dossier users can also access their accounts directly through the Dossier sign-in page to manage and submit applications within the corresponding region.

Faculty Search

  • Fixed: We resolved an issue where the “No Rating” filter on the Applicant List for a Position did not return the correct results. Previously, selecting this filter did not change the applicant list. The “No Rating” filter now works as expected and returns only applicants who have not received any ratings. Users can also combine this filter with other filters to further refine results, and the applicant list updates accordingly.

Review, Promotion & Tenure

  • Fixed: We are introducing logic with a re-try mechanism for Candidate Hard Deadlines if there are any problems with initial hard deadline submissions. We’ve received reports of issues with hard deadlines failing in the past. This re-try mechanism will ensure that hard deadlines are respected and enforced, locking and submitting all packet sections on the specified dates/times.
  • Fixed: We resolved an issue with the Case Information report where data was out of sync. After the release of this fix, we will run a task to re-sync data in reports. Columns and associated data should appear as expected again.
  • Enhancement: Previously, every time a committee or one of its members was updated, all packets associated with that committee were also being updated, including archived ones. This caused the API index endpoint to include those archived packets, since it detected recent changes on them, with the fix, when a committee is updated, archived packets are no longer affected.

Coming Soon

  • New Template List: We are updating the Template List page, including support for bulk archiving templates to reduce the number of templates visible in the UI. These improvements aim to significantly improve the RPT administration experience. We anticipate releasing this change in our next release on May 6, 2026.
  • New Case List: To match the Templates page, RPT Case List page is being redesigned for better performance and usability, with searchable and sortable columns, filters, and layout improvements. We will schedule Case List in a release after Templates List and update stakeholders here accordingly.

Faculty Activity Reporting

  • Fixed: We resolved an issue where the ordering of scholarly subtypes was not working correctly on Vita Builder templates. Previously, the order of subtypes set on a given template was not respected on vitas created with that template. The order of subtypes now works as expected on vitas.

Coming Soon

  • FAR Legacy Vita Bulk Export: We are updating the Legacy Vitas bulk export experience from the Standard Vitas Report page. The Legacy Vita export will now work in exactly the same way as the Vita Builder export. After users request an export, they will receive an email that the vitas are available to download and will be able to access the download from the relevant task on their Home page.
