Release Notes: August 19, 2026
This week’s release includes enhancements and fixes across Faculty Search (FS), Lifecycle Management (LM), Faculty Activity Reporting (FAR), and Dossier. In FS, institutions can now include salary range information in RSS job posting feeds, helping support pay transparency requirements and ensuring compensation details are surfaced wherever job feeds are displayed. In LM, we enhanced the Documents API (V2) to support direct file uploads during document creation, simplifying integrations by allowing document records and files to be submitted through a single API call. In FAR, we improved the reliability of vita generation and template management by strengthening background processing and ensuring Vita Builder more accurately reflects configured groupings and active scholarly subtypes. In Dossier, we fixed an issue that prevented users from previewing recommendation letter requests when multiple recommenders were included, ensuring request previews are available before sending.
Faculty Search
- Enhancement: We updated the FS RSS feed to include salary range information for job postings. Previously, this field was not included in the feed output, even when the salary range was already populated on the position listing. Institutions that are required to display salary range information on job postings, including those subject to state pay transparency laws, can now surface that data through the feed.
Coming Soon
FS Refreshed Position Show Experience: We are modernizing the applicant review experience in FS with a redesigned 'Position Show' page that delivers faster performance and new capabilities such as the ability to:
- Select applicants across multiple pages and take bulk actions (including status changes, archiving, tagging, and emailing) on your full selection at once.
- Search and filter applicants using a redesigned filter panel with responsive, searchable controls.
- Sort by any column in the applicant table to quickly find and prioritize candidates.
Review, Promotion & Tenure
Coming Soon
RPT Enhanced Manage Required Committee Form Respondents: Institutions can now better manage committee form requirements with more flexible assignment and completion controls such as the ability to:
- Set a minimum number of required responses from Committee Managers or Committee Members, allowing workflows to progress once the threshold is met.
- Choose respondent type more precisely by assigning forms to either Committee Managers or Committee Members.
- Bulk omit requirements at the case level, reducing manual effort when managing respondents.
These updates reduce delays caused by rigid completion rules and minimize the need for manual intervention, helping cases move through review workflows more efficiently while supporting more flexible participation models (e.g., optional respondents).
Lifecycle Management
- Enhancement: We added direct file upload support to the LM Documents API (V2), allowing integration users to submit a file directly when creating a document instead of completing a separate upload step first. Previously, API-only integrations had to complete that upload step outside of Lifecycle Management before a document record could be created, which some authentication methods could not support. Existing integrations using the current upload method are unaffected and can continue as before. This lets integration users automate document creation from a single API call.
Faculty Activity Reporting
- Enhancement: We improved the reliability of background processing used for FAR and FAR-to-RPT vita generation by moving high-volume jobs to a more resilient queueing system. This reduces the risk of vitas becoming stuck in Processing during periods of heavy activity.
- Fixed: We resolved an issue in Vita Builder where Degree sections grouped by a field displayed records under “Other” instead of following the configured grouping, such as Terminal Degree (Yes/No), when using Traditional or Traditional Date display styles. Degree sections now consistently follow the grouping configured in the Vita Builder template across supported display styles.
- Fixed: We resolved an issue where inactive scholarly subtypes, such as Patent, Review, and Chapter, continued to appear as options in Vita Builder institutional templates after being deactivated in FAR. Vita Builder now displays only active scholarly subtypes and removes inactive subtypes during synchronization. Changes may take up to 24 hours to appear because of caching and synchronization timing; users may need to reopen or refresh the template after synchronization completes.
Dossier
- Fixed: We resolved an issue in Dossier where clicking "Preview Request" for a new recommended letter request with two or more recommenders would fail silently, with no preview and no error message shown. "Preview Request" now successfully displays a preview of the letter request regardless of how many recommenders are added. Users creating recommendation letter requests with multiple recommenders can now review the request before sending it.
