Release Notes: May 20, 2025
This release includes improvements and fixes across Lifecycle Management (LM), Faculty Search (FS), Dossier, and Faculty Activity Reporting (FAR). Bulk actions in LM have been optimized for better speed and reliability, while faculty profile data synchronization has been refined to give administrators greater control over faculty information. In FS, document processing issues have been resolved to ensure accurate status updates. FAR includes fixes that correct vita template handling, page loading, and header display errors, ensuring faculty information is consistently and accurately presented.
Lifecycle Management
- Improved: We have refactored and improved the bulk actions available from the LM faculty list. These enhancements optimize the performance of various bulk actions, including modifying profiles, updating events, initiating cases, and sending messages. Users can expect improved speed and reliability when performing these actions, resulting in a more efficient workflow.
- Improved: In response to user feedback, we have updated the system to ensure that changes made to a faculty member’s account profile will no longer update their associated faculty profile in LM, and vice versa. This change allows LM administrators to retain full ownership of faculty data, preventing sync issues and ensuring data consistency across both areas.
Faculty Search
- Fixed: Between April 14 and May 2, the PDF bookmark extraction feature in FS was temporarily disabled, causing documents uploaded during this period to remain stuck in a pending status. This issue has been resolved, and as a courtesy, a script was run to update all affected documents. All documents previously marked as Received in Dossier should now be updated to Completed status in FS, ensuring accurate processing and tracking.
Faculty Activity Reporting
- Fixed: We resolved an error that allowed the Standard Vita Template to be archived or deleted. Because this template is often used as a basis for subsequent templates, it should not be allowed to be archived or deleted.
- Fixed: We resolved an error that was preventing the Institutional Vitas page and the faculty Vitas page from loading properly. Those pages should load without error now.
- Fixed: We resolved an error in the standard Vitas report generated from the new Vita Builder. The header was displaying the name of the person viewing the vita instead of the faculty member’s name. This has been corrected, and the header now accurately shows the faculty member’s name.
- Fixed: We fixed an issue where the emulator’s name appeared in the Vita header when accessing a Vita via the shareable link feature. Now, the header correctly displays the faculty member’s name.
