Release Notes: November 6th, 2025

This release introduces enhanced visibility controls for coauthored scholarship and grant records on Web Profiles. Faculty can now opt out of appearing as internal affiliates by setting “Publicly Display” to “No.” For grants, institutional coauthors are hidden by default unless a matching eligible record is found with visibility enabled. Faculty wishing to be recognized for a grant not shown on their profile should manually enter the record in FAR and enable visibility. In Review, Promotion & Tenure (RPT), the candidate and administrator experience has been improved when selecting files from previous packets. The system now automatically excludes prior FAR2RPT vitas from rollover, resolving errors caused by the one-to-one relationship between packets and vitas and allowing other documents to transfer successfully.

Review, Promotion & Tenure

  • Enhancement: We have improved the candidate and administrator experience when selecting existing files from previous packets, specifically regarding the FAR2RPT vita. Since there is a one-to-one relationship between a packet and a vita, users previously encountered an error when attempting to copy all files from a prior packet that included a FAR2RPT vita to a new case that also contained a FAR2RPT vita. With this enhancement, the system now automatically excludes the previous vita from selection, allowing users to successfully roll over the other documents to the current packet without errors.

Web Profiles

  • Enhancement: Visibility controls for coauthored scholarship and grant records on Web Profiles have been enhanced. Faculty will soon be able to opt out of appearing as internal affiliates n scholarship records that appear on your institution’s Web Profile by setting “Publicly Display” to “No” on individual records. Your Interfolio POC will notify your project team in advance of the change. For grants records, institutional coauthors will be hidden (Publicly Display = No) on the Web Profile by default unless a matching eligible record is found with visibility enabled (Publicly Display = Yes). Faculty who wish to be recognized for a grant not currently shown on their profile should manually enter the record in FAR and set Publicly Display = Yes.
  • Enhancement: We have implemented more granular mapping for the unit hierarchy on your institutional profile. This is visible in the grid view of the units tab of your institutional page.
  • Enhancement: We have improved the way that FAR courses display on your institution’s web profile. Courses will soon appear with the convention "Course Prefix" "Course Number": "Course Title,” and courses will be linked separately to each faculty member with an associated Courses Taught instance of that course. From the “Courses” tab of your web profile, you will see the courses themselves but not the aggregated faculty who have been associated with that course across time.
