Search Results

Release Notes: September 8, 2025

This release introduces a hierarchical unit filter on the Faculty Search (FS) ‘Position List’ page, allowing users to refine searches by unit and optionally include child units for broader results. Review, Promotion & Tenure (RPT) updates include a fix for sorting cases by template name and an enhancement to breadcrumb navigation that displays full case review step names, improving clarity when managing academic levels on templates and cases. Faculty Activity Reporting (FAR) now enforces a one-status-per-term rule to prevent multiple employment statuses within a single term. Vita Builder updates ensure that activity descriptions only appear in citation output when the “Include description in output citation” setting is selected. Additionally, several bugs have been fixed: the Scholarly Citation report now loads as expected after resolving a performance issue; Legacy Vitas no longer experience slow loading when the scholarship section is included; and processing errors caused by hyphens in scholarly activity citations on both the Activities and Legacy Vita pages have been resolved.

Platform

  • Enhancement: We have expanded support for our internal analytics dashboards in Faculty Search and Lifecycle Management to include clients in Canada. We are actively working to extend this availability to EU and APAC regions in upcoming releases.

Faculty Search

  • Enhancement: We will introduce a new filter on the Faculty Search Position List page that allows users to filter positions by the unit hosting the position. The filter will display units in a hierarchical format, enabling selection of one unit at a time. Additionally, users will have the option to toggle whether to include child units in the filter. This enhancement will streamline searching and help users find relevant positions more efficiently.

Lifecycle Management

Faculty Activity Reporting

  • Fixed: We fixed an issue in the FAR-API which allowed for multiple employment statuses to exist within a single term. With this fix, updated employment statuses will follow the one status per term rule.
  • Fixed: We fixed an issue that was causing the Scholarly Citation report to load slowly. This report will now load as expected.
  • Fixed: We fixed an issue that was causing Legacy Vitas to load slowly when they included the scholarship section. Legacy Vitas will now load as expected.
  • Fixed: We fixed an issue that was causing processing errors when generating citations for scholarly activities that included a hyphen on both the ‘Activities’ and ‘Legacy Vita’ pages. Now, saving a scholarly activity that includes a hyphen will not produce a processing error.
  • Enhancement: Previously in the Vita Builder, if an activity included a description, that description would display in the citation output on the vita regardless of whether the setting for “Include description in output citation” was selected. Now, descriptions will only show in the citation output if this setting is selected.
