Scholarly Contributions & Creative Productions: Accept a Coauthored Work
The content in this knowledge base is based upon the standard FACULTY180 environment. Your institution may have made changes to configure the FACULTY180 environment to meet your institution's needs; therefore, the screens in your FACULTY180 environment may differ slightly from the knowledge base. For more information, please contact your FACULTY180 administrator.
As part of the Scholarly Contributions & Creative Productions functionality, FACULTY180 users can include coauthors when adding a new activity. If a FACULTY180 user at your institution wants to add you as a coauthor to an activity, a notification message with the Coauthor Verification Type displays in the To Do section on your Dashboard. You then have the option of accepting or rejecting the coauthor verification. If you choose to accept the coauthor verification, you have the option to edit your copy of the activity (only your copy of the activity will be changed - the changes will not be made to the other coauthor's copy of the activity). If you reject the activity, the coauthor who requested to add you to the activity will not be notified of the rejection.
To respond to a coauthor verification request, do the following:
- Click the Coauthor Verification action item on your Dashboard. The Coauthor Verification pop-up displays.
- Click the desired option. If you choose Accept and Edit, a message displays notifying you that a new copy of the activity has been created and the original activity will not be changed.
- Click Okay. The activity displays as a Scholarly Contributions & Creative Productions activity.
- Make any desired changes, then click Save.
