Manage Applications on the Deliveries Page

This article will review how to navigate the Deliveries page.

Interfolio will not share the status of the position or application once it is submitted. Reach out directly to the institution with any questions to find out more information.

Manage Applications

View Sent Deliveries

  1. Click Deliveries on the navigation bar.

  1. Scroll to the bottom and click View all sent deliveries below the Sent Deliveries section.
View all sent deliveries selected below the list of recipients
  2. Find desired sent delivery by searching for the Recipient or sorting the deliveries by Status and Type.
Sent Deliveries section with Recipient field, Status dropdown, and Type dropdown above the list of recipients

Keep track of the status and progress of unfinished deliveries from the Deliveries page. Check out this article overview of Dossier Glossary of Terms for more information on delivery statuses.

Edit Application

  1. Click Deliveries on the navigation bar.
  2. Scroll to the bottom and click View all sent deliveries below the Sent Deliveries section.
View all sent deliveries selected below the list of recipients
  3. Click Edit under the Actions column, adjacent to the desired application to withdraw.

When a change is made to a submitted application, the change is instantly updated for the institution to see, but the institution will not get a notification.

Delete Incomplete Application

  1. Click Deliveries on the navigation bar.
  2. Scroll to the bottom and click View all sent deliveries below the Sent Deliveries section.
View all sent deliveries selected below the list of recipients
  3. Click Delete under the Actions column, adjacent to the desired application to withdraw.

An application can only be deleted from the Deliveries page if the applicant has not submitted. If an applicant starts an application, they will be able to delete it from their Deliveries page regardless of whether the due date has passed or not.

Once a position closes or the applicant submits the application, the application can no longer be deleted. The application will remain on the deliveries page.

Withdraw Completed Application

  1. Click Deliveries on the navigation bar.
  2. Scroll to the bottom and click View all sent deliveries below the Sent Deliveries section.
View all sent deliveries selected below the list of recipients
  3. Click Withdraw under the Actions column, adjacent to the desired application to withdraw.

Applicants can only withdraw their application if the position close date has not passed and the position status allows the applicant to edit their position. Otherwise, the withdraw button will not appear.

When an application is withdrawn, the institution will not get a notification.

Application Statuses

Interfolio will not share the status of the position or application once it is submitted. Reach out directly to the institution with any questions to find out more information.

Note that institutions have the ability to create their own position statuses visible. This list does not account for that.

Status Details
In Progress (Not Yet Submitted) The applicant starts the application, has not submitted it, and the due date has not passed.
Expired The applicant starts the application, has not submitted, and the due date has passed.
Incomplete If the applicant submitted the application, the requirements have changed, and the due date has not passed, the applicant may be allowed to make edits at this stage, if the institution allows. Will also include the note Previously submitted; requirements incomplete.
Complete If the applicant submitted the application and the due date has passed, has not passed, or has appeased, the applicant may be allowed to make edits at this stage, if the institution allows.
Complete (Pending Letters) An application can be submitted with pending letters. This application will be in the Sent Deliveries section on the Deliveries page.

FAQs

How can I check the status of my application?

The Institution may send out emails updating applicants on the status of their application or position. Otherwise, reach out directly to the institution to find out more information.

Can I reuse letters and documents for future applications?

Yes. Interfolio will not delete letters from any accounts, even if they expire. If deciding to apply again, renew Dossier Deliver subscription and access to sending those letters will be provided again.

Can I collect and store letters before I submit my application?

Absolutely! Feel free to sign up for a Dossier account and collect letters, even before submitting an application. If upgrading to an Interfolio Dossier Deliver account, Interfolio will send alerts on the status of the letters before they are needed. However, it is advised to only send the letters of recommendation after the application has been received by the schools to being applied to, or send them as Confidential Letter Uploads to AACOMAS and AADSAS.

Why is the shared document read-only?

If a message appears that a document is read-only, this may mean:

  • The person who shared it does not currently have access to the Dossier sharing feature.
  • Those with access to Dossier through their institution, may see this message if they, or the person shared with, no longer has access to the Dossier sharing feature.
  • The document owner should consider upgrading to Dossier Deliver to share and get feedback on all materials.

Check out this article on how to Share and Receive Feedback of Dossier Materials for more information.

A school is not appearing in Interfolio's saved destination search results. What should I do next?

Interfolio has saved search results for most osteopathic schools. If a school does not appear when searching, try to search different terms. For example, if searching for Michigan State University College of Osteopathic Medicine, try searching:

  • Michigan State
  • MSUCOM

Check out this article on how to Send Dossier Materials via Email for more information on how to send letters to a school that does not appear as a saved search result.
