Display Co-Author Role for Scholarly Contributions on Vitas

For the Scholarly Contributions Activity sub-types (such as books, chapters, journal publication, and more.) that have authors and/or editor roles, it is recommend that the column for Role be added and configured to the co-author table. If the citation is one that identifies the editor, then that notation will pull from the Role column appropriately. Otherwise, the notation on the vita template will have counts (The number of [specified dropdown category]). To show role counts on the Vita, the roles must be added to subtypes and permissions must be added to access the vita template.

To add this field functionality to Faculty Activity Reporting (FAR, Faculty180), please have your institutional administrator submit a ticket to help@interfolio.com.

Currently, there is no report that lists the number of users in this Role type specific to an activity or as a whole.

Add the Role field to the Co-Authors Section

    • An example of this can be seen in the image below. The Coauthor Role Summary is shown under number six where it says Author: 1.

This option will not be available unless it has been enabled per request of the Interfolio Administrator.
