Resources for Training Faculty
Training Best Practices and Resources
At Interfolio we practice a train-the-trainer model to ensure an effective deployment of our products at your institution. This means that we dedicate ourselves to training your project team and we make sure you are not only comfortable and confident using the tools, but also have the skills and resources to train your faculty and staff end-users. It’s important to note that there will be ongoing needs for training at your institution due to new hires and turnover, and therefore there will be a need for refresher courses year after year. Being prepared to meet these training needs will help ensure an effective deployment and increase buy-in from your end users.
To help you meet your training needs, Interfolio provides you with:
- eLearning training for your all of your end users
- Live and recorded webinars for administrative users
- Hundreds of help articles and user guides on our Product Help site.
- Training Kits (scripts, agendas, decks, and quick reference guides to support your team when preparing for your own onsite training sessions)
- Interfolio's Scholar Services team available to offer technical support by phone or email.
We recommend you provide your end-users with the following resources:
- A dedicated onsite point-of-contact at your institution who can answer questions and lead training sessions
- Open office hours for Interfolio-related questions
- Quick reference guides for in-the-moment training needs
- A policy guide that clearly defines how you want your end-users to use the tool so that it follows the policies at your institution
