Add Appointment to a Faculty Record through the UI

Administrative users (at institutions that have the feature toggled on) can add an appointment to the records of faculty and staff members through the user interface.

 

This feature is currently only available for users who have the feature toggled on.

 

Add an Appointment to a Faculty Record

1. Navigate to Add Appointment under Faculty

Navigation: Faculty > desired Faculty Member > Add Appointment

  1. Click Faculty on the navigation menu.

  2. Click the desired Faculty Member name.
  3. Click the +Add Appointment button under the Appointment Information section.

2. Add appointment information

  1. Select the desired Unit, Series Name, Rank Type, Title, Start/Contract Expiration Date, Position ID, Employee Type, and Compensation under the Appointment Information section.
  2. Select the Workload Model from the dropdown under the Workload section.

  3. Enter any additional Notes under the Additional Appointment Information section.

  4. Click Add Appointment when finished.
 
 

FAQ

What if there are no events to create?

If the faculty appointment is associated to a journey and there are no current or future events remaining, the record will fail. However, if the appointment is not associated to a journey, a timeline with no events will appear in the faculty profile.
