Troubleshoot When a Letter Writer/Referee is not Receiving the Letter Request
This article provides troubleshooting solutions when a letter writer is not receiving the letter request. Letter writers always have the option of emailing their confidential letter to help@interfolio.com (have them include your name and email address.) Interfolio will upload the letter on their behalf.
How to troubleshoot when your letter writer has not received your letter request
- Have your letter writer check spam and junk folders.
- The email request will come from help@interfolio.com.
- The subject line is Confidential Letter of Recommendation or Evaluation Request From [Requester's Name].
- Check that the email you've provided for your letter writer is correct.
- Sign in to your Dossier account
- Select your name in the top right-hand corner
- Select My Contacts
- Confirm the email address entered for your letter writer is correct.
- If there is an error in the email address, you must first edit the contact information on this page. You will then need to cancel the request and send it again.
- If the email address is correct you can resend the request by navigating to Letters > Resend Request.
- If your letter writer is still not receiving the request, have them email the letter to help@interfolio.com and include your name and email address in the email sent.
