Troubleshoot When a Letter Writer/Referee is not Receiving the Letter Request

This article provides troubleshooting solutions when a letter writer is not receiving the letter request. Letter writers always have the option of emailing their confidential letter to help@interfolio.com (have them include your name and email address.) Interfolio will upload the letter on their behalf.

 

How to troubleshoot when your letter writer has not received your letter request

  1. Have your letter writer check spam and junk folders. 
    • The email request will come from help@interfolio.com.
    • The subject line is Confidential Letter of Recommendation or Evaluation Request From [Requester's Name]. 
  2. Check that the email you've provided for your letter writer is correct.
    • Sign in to your Dossier account
    • Select your name in the top right-hand corner
    • Select My Contacts
    • Confirm the email address entered for your letter writer is correct. 
      • If there is an error in the email address, you must first edit the contact information on this page. You will then need to cancel the request and send it again.
      • If the email address is correct you can resend the request by navigating to Letters > Resend Request.  
  3.  If your letter writer is still not receiving the request, have them email the letter to help@interfolio.com and include your name and email address in the email sent.
