Export Standard Vita Reports

This article explains how to export Standard Vita Reports, both individually and in bulk, using a Vita Builder template. Administrators often collect faculty data during Initiated Activity Input periods, requiring the bulk export feature for review and documentation.

Please note that this function now applies to templates from our New Vita Builder. Check out our Bulk Export Update Announcement for more information.

Export Standard Vita Reports

  1. Navigate to the Reports page and click Standard Vitas under Administrative Reports.
  2. Click the hyperlinked number for the applicable unit. If necessary, click the plus sign to expand a unit.
    • Filter by the Employment Status and the Assigned to Unit As dropdowns.
  3. This will take you to the View Vita Reports page where you can export individually or in bulk.
    • To export individually, click the desired format (Print, Word, or PDF) under the Vita Export column.

Only Legacy Vitas have the Vita Export option to Print.

  4. To export in bulk, fill out the View Vita report form, then click Bulk Export to start the export for the Standard Vita Report.

Please note that vita templates creating with our New Vita Builder and those made with the Legacy Vita Builder have different behaviors when exporting standard vita reports in bulk.

  5. Select the Faculty and Document Type from the Export window that displays.

Only Legacy Vitas have the option to set the Document Type as Print.

For the Legacy Vita Builder, it is recommended to export no more than 500 vitas at a time to avoid slowing down your browser.

  6. Click Export when finished. If you selected a template made with the…

    • New Vita Builder
      • You will see the notification “Your request is being processed. We will email you at [your email] when your report is available for download.”
      • The report will be accessible from the Home screen with a link that reads "Your Files are Ready to Download," linking to the Requested Download page.
      • You will also receive an email notification when the report is available for download.

Please note that exporting a large number of vitas (several hundred or more) can take up to three days to complete.
