Create FAR Quicklinks Tool

The Quicklinks button allows users to have quick and easy access to the screens they use often, similar to bookmarking a website on their web browser. For example, if there is a report that is used on a regular basis, and it contains complex filters, the user might want to create a Quicklink to that report so it can be accessed quickly. Each user can create their own Quicklinks, which can be shared with other users if they choose.


Initial Steps

Navigate to the page you would like to create a Quicklink for. While the Quicklinks button is not available on the homepage, you can access to the tool from any Faculty Activity Reporting (FAR, Faculty180) specific page within the Interfolio product.

  1. Display the screen that you wish to create a Quicklink for.
  2. Click Quicklinks in the upper-right corner of the screen.
  3. Click Add This Page as a Quicklink.

  4. Type a new name for the quick link in the Name field, if desired.
  5. Click Save when finished.
    • The quicklink will then be added to your list of Quicklinks.
  1. Display the screen that you wish to create a Quicklink for.
  2. Click Quicklinks in the upper-right corner of the screen.
  3. Click Manage Quicklinks.

    The top displays the Quicklinks added and managed by the user. The bottom displays the Permanent Quicklinks added by an administrator.

  4. Click the icon for the desired task; Edit (pencil), Share (box with curved arrow), Delete ("X"), or Reorder (numbered dropdown).

More information on sharing Quicklinks

  1. After clicking the Share icon the Send Quicklink window will appear.
  2. Click the Select Faculty button to choose the faculty members that you want to share this Quicklink with.
    • The faculty selector tool will display and it allows users to filter down to relevant groups of faculty users at an institution. 
    • Users can use the search bar in the top left of the window to look for specific employees.
  3. Users can filter using the Standard Filters options on the left to easily select groups of employees to include in this selection.

    All faculty members selected will receive copy of the provided Quicklink and they can view it at any time, if they have the necessary permissions to access the page.

  4. Click the Select Faculty button at the bottom of the window when done selecting users to receive the Quicklink.
  5. Click Save to confirm your selections in the Send Quicklink window.
