Add/Edit Administrative Rights for Users

Reporting and Administrative rights can be granted to individual users directly within Faculty Activity Reporting (FAR, Faculty180). “Full Admin Rights” can be defined and modified by unit based on the organizational structure of your institution.

This article reviews the administrative levels that are available to be assigned to users, and the steps to assign rights to users.

Administrative Right Options for Users

When granting administrative rights for users, you will see three administrative right types to choose from. A user can be granted a different level of admin rights for each unit that they have access to.

Types Details
None/Limited Users who have not been assigned admin rights have access to their own data only. Other faculty members can still grant emulation rights to these users.
Report Rights Users assigned reporting rights have access to run reports.
Full Admin Rights Users assigned full admin rights have access to some or all setup options, administrative functions, reports, and other users' accounts. Full administrative rights are defined and modified by unit.

Add/Edit Administrative Rights for a User

  1. Click Administration under the Administration section of the navigation menu.Administration section with Administration highlighted
  1. Click Faculty under the Add/Edit section to edit administrative rights for Faculty or click Support Accounts under the Tools section to edit administrative rights for Support Accounts.

  4. Scroll to the bottom, the Administrative Rights section shows existing administrative rights that may have already been assigned.

Assign Unique Admin Rights for Different Units

  1. Click your name in the upper right-hand corner
  2. Click Switch Your Permissions from the dropdown.
